Job offer: Agro Technician

We are looking for an agro technician to take the responsibility for assisting in the production of food, fibre and other plant and animal products on farms and in other agricultural settings. They work closely with farmers and other agricultural advisors to ensure that crops are harvested and livestock is managed in a safe and efficient manner. Technicians are involved in the day-to-day operations of farms and other agricultural settings, including planting and harvesting, maintenance, soil management, crop and livestock health, pest control, and the maintenance of agricultural equipment. They also provide technical advice and support to farmers regarding crop and livestock management, and help farmers to identify and implement new technologies and practices.

Research: Working with agricultural scientists on research related to plants, fibers, and animals
Sample collection: Collecting samples from animals or crops
Laboratory equipment: Setting up or maintaining laboratory equipment
Specimen preparation: Preparing specimens for experiments
Data recording: Recording data to assist scientists
Animal breeding and nutrition: Assisting with animal breeding and nutrition
