Our client is a global leader in infrastructure development, renowned for delivering complex and high-impact projects in the aviation sector. They specialize in airport infrastructure, offering innovative solutions that combine state-of-the-art technology with sustainable practices. Due to the successful collaboration between the local government in Tanzania, they are urgently seeking a Procurement Manager to manage their infrastructure tendering and Financing management for their operations in Tanzania.


Reporting to the Global Procurement Director, You are responsible for covering the below duties:

  • Responsible for leading the Procurement Strategy, by developing and implementing procurement strategies for large scale infrastructure projects with a focus on Airport or Road constructions
  • You oversee the entire procurement cycle, inclusive of pre-qualification of tenders, supplier selection and contract negotiation
  • You are able to manage procurement processes for projects that are financed by Export Credit Agencies (ECA), ensuring risk mitigation and contract requirements
  • You lead negotiations on complex contracts, including materials supply, equipment and services required for infrastructure projects
  • Monitor procurement costs and schedules, ensuring that project budgets and time lines are achieved
  • Identify and mitigate procurement risks, particularly in complex financing environments involving ECA's.

10 years of working experience as a Procurement Manager, within the large scale infrastructure industry in Africa is required
Experience in managing a full procurement cycle for large airport or road construction projects is highly preferred
Bachelor or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management
Excellent fluency in English is preferred, Proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese is highly desirable
Ability to lead large teams and complex project under high-stakes conditions
Excellent negotiation and problem solving skills
Must be willing to relocate to a remote project site in Tanzania
