Our client provides tailor-made financial solutions and is part of a large multinational conglomerate with over 70,000 employees, operating across the globe.
The Senior Credit Risk Analyst will have the following responsibilities:Assess creditworthiness
- Analyse financial statements of the customers to determine the credit risk of the prospect and existing customers
- Perform annual credit reviews for top revenue/high credit risk customers, recommend adequate credit lines
- Actively use credit agency data and external data sources (D&B; Moody's; Atradius; Coface and similiar), engage business units and sales managers to build credit applications
Credit Risk Mitigation
- Keep track of the financial condition of existing customers
- Recommend risk mitigants when noticing changes and/or financial deterioration
- Assist in administering credit mitigants such as credit insurance, bank guarantees, Letter of Credit, company guarantees and similar.
Reporting
- Monitor and reporting credit exposures, develop risk profiling.
- Promote credit risk process automation by contributing to ERP projects such as credit engine development and similar.
- Grow company's credit risk management dashboard capabilities
- Actively participate in cash/treasury-based forecasting
Customer data management
- Ensure accuracy of customer data in CRM (Salesforce) and ERP (ManPro and Ecoda) systems such as company registration and tax numbers, legal addresses and similar.
Compliance
- Make sure all credit risk activities comply with internal Finance, Credit, Treasury & Trade compliance policies
- Escalate compliance breaches to the management team
Projects and process improvements
- Actively participate in Credit and AR process and system improvement projects and initiatives
The Senior Credit Risk Analyst role will be based in Mauritius and will require the following attributes:
- Degree in Finance, Economics or equivalent
- 5 or more years of experience in credit management, trade finance & asset financing
- Multinational B2B experience would be an advantage
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently
