Our client is a leading Insurance brokerage in the African region.


  • Establish and Lead the FP&A Department: Build, develop and manage the FP&A department, setting clear objectives and strategies to ensure financial success.
  • Financial Strategy: Collaborate with Group CFO to develop the company's financial strategy and provide valuable insights to optimize financial performance.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process, providing accurate financial projections and analysis. Develop rolling forecasts to adapt to changing market conditions.
  • Performance Analysis: Regularly assess financial performance against budget and forecast, identifying areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Financial Reporting: Produce high-quality financial reports, presentations, and dashboards to communicate financial results and insights to the executive team and board of directors.
  • Risk Management: Identify and assess financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate potential issues.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to gather data and insights, fostering a collaborative and data-driven culture.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously enhance the FP&A function.

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. A relevant postgraduate degree is a plus.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proactive, results-driven, and curious individuals with a strategic mindset.
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting and budgeting.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools - knowledge of SAP/SAGE/BFC/PBC is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
