Our client is a leading Insurance provider in Mauritius.
- Provide strategic guidance to Senior Management on formulating a 3-year Business Development and Distribution strategy.
- Develop and implement business acquisition and distribution strategies to meet sales targets and drive revenue growth.
- Strengthen the company's brand identity as the market leader in Corporate Business and promote its direct business value proposition.
- Review and optimize the organizational structure of the Business Development team to support acquisition and retention strategies.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on key performance metrics to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Review and enhance the Customer-Partner Relationship Management framework to improve service delivery and satisfaction.
- Consolidate and expand distribution channels to maximize market reach and penetration.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, intermediaries, brokers, and affinity partners.
- Advise Senior Management on the review, design, and marketing of new product offerings and value-added services.
- Develop and deliver tailored insurance solutions for specific client segments.
- Conduct ongoing market research to stay informed about industry trends, developments, and market dynamics.
- Advise and assist the Business Development team in portfolio and renewal management to ensure business continuity.
- Prepare and present annual insurance and technical reports, including risk management advisories and insurance optimization strategies as a value-added service to clients.
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and direction to the Business Development team, ensuring high performance and motivation.
- Collaborate with claims and other support functions to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.
- Review and refine operational strategies to support:
- Profitable growth and revenue generation
- Business retention
- Cross-selling and up-selling initiatives
- Superior customer and partner experiences
- Enhanced brand value and stakeholder returns
- Contribute to marketing, advertising, promotional, and networking efforts in collaboration with the management team.
- Oversee project management activities as needed to ensure timely delivery of tasks.
- Carry out any additional duties or mandates assigned by Senior Management.
- Professional Insurance qualifications (ACII or equivalent) or Degree in Management, Economics or Risk Management and Insurance.
- Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing and Management or progress towards would constitute an advantage.
- A minimum of 10 years of solid experience and senior position tenure in business development, portfolio/channel management or insurance brokerage with a strong insurance or insurance brokerage background (general insurance and specialty risks in particular)
