Our client is a leading manufacturer of mining component products with multiple operations in Africa. They produce mining materials such as Ore extraction equipment, conveyor systems & wear resistant components to their clients in the mining sector. Due to the expansion of their operations, they are seeking a Technical Sales manager to expand their portfolio in Zambia.
Reporting to the Director of Sales, you will be responsible for carrying out the below duties:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue targets and market share in Zambia
- Able to identify key business opportunities within the Mining sector to develop material sales and aftermarket support
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key mining businesses, contractors and government agencies
- Lead the sales team in prospecting, qualifying leads and ensuring a timely follow up on the sales process
- Responsible for representing the company and products at industry events, trade shows
- Able to prepare and present sales forecasts, performance metrics to executive management

You bring 10 years of proven working experience as a Technical Sales Manager preferably coming from a Mining component manufacturing industry
Proven ability to develop and execute business in Zambia is preferred
Excellent knowledge of handling a full sales cycle in the mining industry is required
Frequent visits to mining facilities based on business requirements is mandatory
Previous experience selling Mill liners & Mining conveyor belts is a bonus
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Strong fluency in English is required
