Job offer: Trainee Land Surveyor

To be enlisted as trainees, candidates should be holders of either a diploma in land surveying from the University of Mauritius or any prescribed qualification in land surveying in accordance with the Land Surveyors Act. The trainees will undergo and complete, the period of two years’ practical training under the direct supervision of a Land Surveyor.

Trainees will be posted in Ministries and Government Departments. During their two-year training, trainees will work under the direct responsibility and supervision of a Land Surveyor.
The candidates will be trained without any promise of employment in the Public Service. On completion of their training, they will be free to seek employment elsewhere. If they wish to join the Public Service, they will have to compete for such vacancies as may be available.
During their training they will be paid a monthly stipend of Rs 17,045 and refund of bus fares. The training will be limited to a maximum period of 24 months.
