Listed on the stock market since June 2014, National Lottery operator Lottotech obtained its operating license from the State Investment Corporation (SIC) in 2009 with the essential mission of providing Mauritians with quality gaming entertainment while contributing to major national causes in the sectors of Health, Education, Sport and Culture.
The first draw of the Loto was made on November 7, 2009 and it is November 30 of the same year that Loto made its first multimillionaire, while the first scratch cards were put on the market in December of the same year.
Since the beginning of its operations, Lottotech has donated more than Rs 3.5 billion to the Consolidated Fund and had, on September 30, 2015, made more than 145 multimillionaires and paid more than Rs 856
