The TOTE system of betting was first introduced in Mauritius by Automatic Systems Ltd. in 1991. Further development brought additional convenience to punters, namely through phone betting via TELETOTE implemented in 1994, and off-course agencies opened as from 2004. Today, TOTE has grown into the most secure and transparent mode of betting with 120 terminals at Champ de Mars, 142 terminals at TELETOTE and terminals located off-course, in our 24 agencies over the island.
