Job Summary | Baker Tilly is hiring for the position of Associate 3- COSEC and Audit Administration. As an Associate in the COSEC department, you will play a crucial role to support the COSEC Manager to manage a portfolio of domestic companies, performing company secretarial work for clients, assisting on insolvency assignments, and other ad hoc assignments as required. You will serve as a proactive and versatile professional, capable of handling various assignments and providing exceptional support to clients. This role also requires strong attention to detail and the ability to navigate complex business environments, with a good display of interpersonal relationship and communication skills with internal and external stakeholders. The Associate will also be providing administrative support to the Assurance department on preparation of engagement letters as well as template rollover and finalization of financial statements. In his/her administrative support role, the Associate will be working closely with Audit Directors and Partners to maintain up to date the assurance master portfolio analytics and will be called to make regular follow-ups and updates with Assurance Managers & Senior Managers and staff. Due to the confidential nature of our operations vis-à-vis international and local clients, you will uphold our values of professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity and ensure that all administrative tasks are carried out to the highest standards. Duties of Job | Duties and Responsibilities COSEC • Support the COSEC Manager to guide and advise clients and build strong relationship with stakeholders. • Support the COSEC Manager to service clients, including corporate governance, statutory compliance, and regulatory filings. • Collaborate with legal advisors, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations. • Conduct KYC checks prior to client onboarding and assist in drafting the letter of engagement. • Assist prospective clients in company setup assignments, including entity formation, registration, and corporate structuring. • Assist on the filings for companies under liquidation. Audit Administration • Support the assurance department by efficiently handling administrative tasks. • Prepare documents such as letters of engagement, financial statements, investment letters, custodian documents among others. • Utilize Nitro sign for document amendments and formatting, including financial statement rollover. • Conduct KYC checks and assist in reception duties when required. • Create codes or references for clients as needed. • Seek input from respective Managers to maintain & update the Baker Tilly master analytics tracker for clients, billings, debtors etc. • Facilitate team communication by sending correspondence via mail and managing filing systems. • Assist in binding financial statements and distributing stationery. • Coordinate printing & scanning of documents. • Handle any other administrative tasks as assigned. |
Skills/Competencies | A first undergraduate degree from a recognized university and/or equivalent practical experience. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Advanced Excel, Word, Power Point. • Demonstrated ability to complete tasks efficiently and within deadlines. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Excellent interpersonal skills, proactive and team player. • Familiarity with local laws and regulations is a plus. • Effective project and time management abilities. • Analytical mindset with the capacity to identify and address technical issues. • Detail-oriented approach to work. • Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion. • Strong research skills to gather necessary information for specific administrative tasks. |
