We are representing a prominent family-owned business in the Agriculture Fishing and Forestry industry operating in the farming and real estate sectors, with a strong presence in Tanzania. Our client specializes in poultry farming, particularly chick brooding and layer chicken production, and is seeking a dedicated and experienced Farm Manager to oversee their operations.


We are currently seeking a highly motivated Farm Manager to join our client's team and take responsibility for the day-to-day management of their poultry farming operations. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficiency, productivity, and profitability of the farm.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Directly report to the General Manager and work closely with them to execute operational strategies and achieve business objectives.
  • Assume full responsibility for the management of the farm, including overseeing all aspects of poultry farming operations.
  • Utilize a hands-on approach to manage farm activities effectively, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to established standards.
  • Foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement among farm staff, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of poultry farming best practices and implement innovative solutions to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and uphold high standards of health, safety, and environmental practices on the farm.



Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a managerial role within the poultry farming industry is essential.
  • A strong understanding of poultry farming practices, including chick brooding and layer chicken production, is required.
  • Ideal candidates will have experience working in diverse cultural environments.
  • While a degree in agriculture or related field is preferred, candidates with relevant experience will also be considered.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team and foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and make sound decisions in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
