Primary Responsibilities

• Prepare month-end financial statements and create project-related disclosure material.
• Ensure costs associated with customer orders are accurately recorded financially, and apply IFRS 15 to all sales transactions before sending out invoices.
• Identify risks that could have a financial impact on the company and assist with the annual external audit process.
• Understand product and project costing as well as inventory valuation.
• Compile workings for budgets, forecasts, and prognoses for the company, focusing on specific costs based on sales and supporting business decisions to ensure economically viable and profitable transactions.
• Provide the company with profitable or strategic returns, including reporting on actual and expected contract margins.
• Recommend procedures and operational requirements to ensure sufficient financial controls, and provide monthly reporting on all key performance indicators.

Education and Experience

• Honours or Postgraduate Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent.
• CA (SA) accredited with articles completed at a reputable audit firm.
• Member of SAICA.
• At least 7 years of post-article financial experience, with 4 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Fully computer literate (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with knowledge of ERP systems (preferably SAP S/4 Hana).
• Working knowledge of IFRS accounting guidelines and evidence of technical competencies in recent IFRS standards.
• Ability to apply skills across a broad spectrum of financial disciplines (costing, accounting, asset management, etc.).
