The New Forests Company - Ebene, Mauritius

The New Forests Company was founded in 2004 with a mission to create a sustainable timber resource in East Africa and to combat rampant deforestation. The Company has rapidly expanded with four greenfield plantations in Uganda, Tanzania and Rwanda, as well as a 49-year concession to manage an established plantation in Rwanda. The Company is passionate about growing African forestry and is committed to planting trees and complying with the best forestry, social and environmental practices. NFC also operates four pole treatment plants, three sawmills and a number of charcoal kilns, producing timber products, wooden pallets and providing efficient biomass energy. The Company strives to create attractive returns for investors, whilst delivering social and environmental benefits to the region.
