Company description
School of electronics was founded in 1982 as an electronics technician club so as to offer electronic as a hobby on a “do it yourself” basis for electronic enthusiasts. To meet the ends of students, the club eventually set up a training centre to provide training for the unemployed and re-training for those already engaged in the field.
To allow students to progress and obtain further recognized qualifications, the school of electronics became a city & guilds approved centre in the late 1980’s
The school of electronics has invested heavily to acquire the necessary expertise and facilities to offer the best to students. Our courses which have been developed in consultation with major industries, have the advantages of being short industrial type training. We offer practical
All our trainers are bachelors / masters qualified from UK, with an average of 5 years work experience in the European electronics industry amongst them. Our laboratories include high end equipment and tools to give students relevant and up to date knowledge. These labs are open to our registered students free of charge to help them acquire the necessary skills to do well in practice.
The basic philosophy of the school is to enable students to enter the field of electronics by easy stages. Therefore before enrolling on any examinations oriented courses, students are encouraged to join our electronic club for initiation to assembling and building electronics related projects. Step by step students are taken through all the fundamentals of electronics and shown how the subject may be easily mastered.
On completion of their training, unemployed students will have acquired the necessary skills to enable them to develop their own servicing business or to seek employment within the electronic service industry.
For the period of December 2012 city & guilds, the pass rate of student results for practical modules were 100% and over 63% of successful students who obtained distinction or merit.
We offer both non award and award courses to give students as many options in terms of course duration and financial commitment. Many of our students are from modest backgrounds who wish to do well in a technical position.
